Privacy Policy

Last updated: pending finalization

This policy explains how rawmaterial.live (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the platform.

1. Information we collect

Account & profile — name, email, phone, company, address, country, city, role, NTN.

Operational data — inquiries, orders, line items, payment terms, banking events, container and vessel information, documents you upload (e.g., purchase orders, bank confirmations).

Communications — messages and notifications generated inside the platform.

Technical — session cookies, IP address, browser type, and basic device information needed to keep your session secure.

2. How we use it

  • Operate your account and authenticate you.
  • Process inquiries, orders, payments, and document workflows.
  • Communicate with you about orders, account status, and platform changes.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Improve the service through aggregated, non-identifying usage analysis.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing

Information is shared only as needed to:

  • Fulfil transactions with relevant counterparties (vendors, consignees, banks, logistics partners).
  • Operate the platform through trusted service providers (our database, email delivery, hosting, error tracking). A current list of sub-processors will be published soon.
  • Comply with legal obligations, court orders, or regulatory requests.

4. Security & retention

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logs on sensitive operations.

We retain operational and trade-related records as long as needed to provide the service and to meet tax, accounting, and trade-law obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time; some records (e.g., completed transactions) may be retained where required by law.

5. International transfers

Because chemical trade is global, data may be processed in jurisdictions other than yours, including Pakistan, India, China, South Korea, the European Union, and the United States. We rely on standard contractual protections with our processors.

6. Your rights & choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@rawmaterial.live from the email on your account.

7. Children

The platform is intended for use by businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the portal and by email to account holders before they take effect.
